Thank you for showing an interest in my project, and for taking the time to read this letter.

Taking these portraits of families and individuals and listening to personal stories from all over the world, is an inspiring and empowering experience.

I have already shot in India, Bangladesh, UK, Spain, France, Israel, Russia, Italy, Egypt, Germany, Kenya, Australia, New Zealand, Morocco, Japan, Iran, New York City, California and Alaska, and I want to keep working as long as the lockdown continues.

I am a photographer and as this project grows it takes more and more of my time. I am telling you this because in this time of turmoil this is the closest thing I have for a job. I want to continue documenting this unprecedented period in history but I also need to start thinking of making a living in this new reality.

Your participation in the project and your support will help develop this project further and build it as an important social document of our time.

Your contribution can go a long way.

Please fill in the amount you wish to pay.

Thank you!

Do I need to pay to be a part of this project?

There is no fixed price for the shoot, and I leave it up to you to decide how much you can pay. Thanks for your support.

Why do I need an iPhone to be part of the project?

I use FaceTime screenshots for the final image. When we are on a FaceTime video call I can take a Live Photo to capture a moment from the call. The image is captured on your iPhone and then sent to me. The cool thing is that the little window at the top-right corner showing my face will not appear in the Live Photo.

I messaged you but have not heard back yet.

I am sorry for this. We are getting more and more emails now and find it a little hard to follow up on time with all of them. It is only me and my wife here and we thank you for your patience. We will get back to you soon.

What will I get from you after the shoot?

You will receive the final image after post production, and you are free to share it on your social media.
The image quality is quite basic but this is the beauty of it.

Can I print the image?

The image size will be fine for a small print of about 5"x9". We will be making fine-art prints at a later stage and you will be able to order signed copies from us.

Be part of the project

Thank you for considering being a part of the ‘Life Under Lockdown’ photo project. This project is shot remotely using your iPhone and FaceTime and we take screenshots during our FaceTime conversation.

As we are receiving emails and messages from all over the world now, we need to start streamlining the process to be more efficient.

1. Please fill the form on the right with as many details as possible.

2. Please let us know how many people are in lockdown with you and will be in the photo.

3. For the location scouting, we request that you go around your house and take horizontal photos of all places with good light. We want to see the full window, balcony or any sitting areas. Kitchen, living room etc. If you have a view we want to see that as well.

Please note and mention the time of day the photos were taken and share them with us by email to

Once we receive all the above we will get in touch and schedule a phone call.

We can't wait to meet you.

Stay safe
